Employment Training
At Easterseals South Florida, we believe that every young adult deserves the opportunity to explore their potential and build a meaningful career.
Overview
Easterseals South Florida empowers individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment through hands-on training, job readiness support, and career development services.
Our Programs
At Easterseals South Florida, we support young adults with disabilities as they prepare for meaningful, long-term employment. Our Employment Training Program helps participants explore their strengths, build practical skills, and gain real-world experience in inclusive and supportive environments.
Culinary Arts High School Program
In partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, our Culinary Arts High School Program offers students with disabilities the opportunity to earn academic credits while gaining hands-on culinary training. Students learn in a professional kitchen setting and develop skills in food preparation, kitchen safety, teamwork, and customer service—all essential for careers in the food service and hospitality industries.
Coffee and Cookies on Wheels
Our innovative Coffee and Cookies on Wheels program provides real-world job training through a mobile coffee cart operated by young adults with disabilities. Participants learn customer service, inventory management, food safety, and point-of-sale skills while building confidence and engaging with the community.
What We Provide:
- Job readiness and workplace etiquette training
- Life skills development for greater independence
- Partnerships with local employers and industry professionals
Together, we’re building pathways to employment, independence, and self-empowerment—one young adult at a time.
We work in partnership with families, schools, and local employers to help participants take their first steps toward employment and independence.
