Who We Are

For over 80 years, Easterseals South Florida has been a trusted resource for families, offering high-quality services for children from birth to age 22, as well as support for older adults living with Alzheimer’s and memory disorders. We provide early childhood education, Head Start and Early Head Start programs, adult day care, and in-home respite services.

Our Story

Founded in 1942 as the Crippled Children’s Society, Easterseals South Florida began by offering education to children with disabilities when they were excluded from public schools. From a rented church basement to a thriving community organization, we’ve grown to serve individuals of all ages, helping them overcome the challenges of disability and lead more independent lives.
