Easterseals South Florida has several volunteer opportunities in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties:
- Events: You can volunteer at one our events such as Small Miracles Luncheon, Golf Fiesta, or Festival of Chefs, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create memorable experiences for individuals with disabilities and their families.
- Adult day care centers: If you have a passion for working directly with individuals, consider volunteering at one of our Adult Day Care centers, providing companionship, assistance, and support to enhance the daily lives of adults with disabilities.
- Legacy Corps for Veterans and Military Families (AmeriCorps): Serve 8–12 hours a week in the families’ homes, providing non-medical respite, resources, and companionship to veteran and military family caregivers. Help relieve caregiver stress and improve quality of life for those who’ve served our country.
- Chef instruction to culinary art students: Culinary professionals can lend their expertise by offering chef instruction to culinary art students, helping them develop valuable skills and a love for cooking.
- Clerical/Back Office support: If you prefer an office-based role, we have opportunities for clerical and office support, where your organizational skills can help keep our operations running smoothly.
- Drives: Throughout the year, we organize toy drives, meal drives, back-to-school supply drives, and essential emergency kits drives to support individuals with disabilities and their families. Your participation in these drives can make a significant difference in the lives of those we serve.
- Creative arts: We believe in the power of the arts to inspire and uplift. If you have a musical talent, you can provide captivating musical presentations to children and adults, bringing joy and entertainment to their lives. Artists can also contribute by providing art projects and workshops, unlocking creativity and self-expression for individuals of all abilities.
By joining our volunteer team, you will be part of a vibrant community dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities. Your time, talents, and passion can bring smiles, create opportunities, and fulfill dreams.
