Meet Isaac

Isaac is a charming three-year-old with Down Syndrome whose smile and curiosity quickly win people over. When he first enrolled at Easterseals, he had significant delays in speech, attention, and fine motor skills, and his mother was struggling with financial hardship and unstable housing, mainly due to the demands of his diagnosis. The family was forced to move to a shelter, yet as Isaac received school, therapy, and aftercare services full-time, his mother was able to focus on obtaining full-time employment. She trained as a Home Health Aide with support from the Easterseals respite program, completed an on-site internship, and began working! Meanwhile, in just one year, Isaac has made remarkable social and academic progress. The family has now moved into a home of their own.
