Each day, we provide programming and services to children, young adults and older adults across the special needs continuum of care.
Founded in 1942, Easterseals South Florida (ESSF) was initially known as the Crippled Children's Society. ESSF was a pioneer in providing education to children with disabilities at a time when they were barred from the public school system. By renting a church basement and hiring a teacher, a small group of students began their educational journey.
