Meet David

David, a 17-year-old Culinary Arts student with autism, has shown growth since his diagnosis at age three. At Easterseals, he receives exceptional education and life skills training. Despite challenges in academic and social communication, he thrives in structured settings, gaining confidence with kitchen tools and job responsibilities. Currently interning in the school office and participating in the Coffee on Wheels program, he is develo ing barista and customer-service skills. Though shy, he engages more with peers, especially in PE and basketball, thanks to prompts and encouragement. With supportive teachers, David's work ethic and positive attitude contribute to his progress, inspired by Gordon Ramsay.
