Jeanette Gonzalez, a seasoned healthcare professional with 17 years of nursing experience, has built a distinguished career across diverse areas, including Managed Care, Case Management, Home Health, Hospice, and Utilization Management. As Director of Adult Day Services at Easterseals South Florida, Jeanette leads multiple centers across Miami-Dade and Broward specializing in Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-related disorders. Her expertise ensures regulatory compliance while maintaining high standards of care for the elderly and their families.
Before stepping into her current role, Jeanette served as Director of Case Management & Health Services at Easterseals South Florida, where she played a pivotal role in developing operational policies that enhanced service delivery. Her leadership has been key in managing budgets, coordinating care teams, and negotiating contracts with service providers. Jeanette’s impact extends far beyond day-to-day management—she has a keen ability to drive strategic initiatives that align with both organizational goals and the evolving needs of the community. Prior to her work at Easterseals, Jeanette made significant contributions as a Case Manager Supervisor at Florida Community Care. In this role, she oversaw community case managers, supported them in managing their caseloads, and ensured adherence to HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines. Jeanette’s ability to mentor and lead case management teams resulted in improved patient outcomes and streamlined processes, furthering her reputation as a capable and compassionate leader.
During her time at Molina Healthcare of Florida, Jeanette held roles as a Care Review Clinician and Transition of Care Coach and in these positions, she was responsible for assessing inpatient services to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while promoting cost-effective care and better patient outcomes. Jeanette skillfully analyzed clinical service requests using evidence-based guidelines, assessed benefits and eligibility, and ensured appropriate lengths of stay for treatments were determined. She collaborated closely with Medical Directors, presenting cases for review, and ensuring members were referred to other clinical programs when necessary, exemplifying her ability to balance quality care with regulatory and financial considerations.
Throughout her career, Jeanette has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Her earlier experiences as a Nurse Case Manager at United Home Care Services, and as a Continuous Care Nurse at multiple organizations, gave her a hands-on understanding of patient care, particularly in hospice and home health settings. She provided personalized care plans for patients and worked closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible care for those in need. Jeanette holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, earned Cum Laude from Antigua College International in 2021, and an Associate of Science in Nursing, completed in 2020. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Health Care Administration from the University of Phoenix, set for completion in 2025.
