As Director of Finance at Easterseals South Florida, Beatriz leads the organization’s financial operations with a focus on strategic planning, fiscal responsibility, and regulatory compliance. She oversees core financial functions including budgeting, cash management, financial and tax reporting, and internal controls. Beatriz leads the annual audit process and ensures compliance with external program fiscal monitoring requirements. She works closely with internal teams and external partners to support Easterseals’ mission through sound financial stewardship.
Beatriz brings over 25 years of diverse experience in both public and private accounting, combining strategic insight, operational expertise, and a deep commitment to service. She began her career in public accounting as an auditor and later transitioned into the private sector, where she held key financial leadership roles at globally recognized organizations.
Motivated by a desire to make a more meaningful impact, Beatriz entered the nonprofit sector, most recently serving as Controller at Miami Jewish Health and Chapman Partnership. These roles deepened her expertise in complex nonprofit financial environments and strengthened her commitment to supporting organizations that serve individuals and families in need. She is passionate about using her financial expertise to support organizations that make a difference and thrives in mission-driven environments where fiscal stewardship and social impact go hand in hand.
Beatriz is a Florida Certified Public Accountant and holds both a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Accounting from Florida International University.
